ILM-LS
The Market’s Fastest, Most Robust Industrial Laminator.
Hologram printing remains one of the best ways to enhance security, making the reproduction and forgery of cards extremely difficult. Fake cards can often be detected with the naked eye. The ILM-LS laminator is used to increase the durability and security of ID cards, employee cards, or smart cards.
Hologram printing is a security measure to increase the protection and lifespan of your card. What was once a slow, costly, and complex process has become significantly faster and more affordable with modern industrial hologram printing devices like laminators. The ILM-LS laminator is used for single-sided lamination, using thermal film. For double-sided lamination, the ILM-DS laminator is used. Both models use heat and pressure to apply a holographic layer to the card surface. Depending on your needs, it can be transparent, matte, or holographic.
Features of the ILM-LS Laminator
Fast Lamination: Laminates one side of a card in as little as 16 seconds and both sides in 30 seconds, making these laminators some of the fastest on the market, allowing you to maintain high quality in a rapid process.
Versatility: Can laminate various card materials including PVC, ABS, PET, composite card structures, and even polycarbonate.
Compact Size: The small size of the modules and the availability of single or double-sided models allow you to choose the device that fits your budget and needs.
Enhanced Security and Durability: Both the ILM-LS and ILM-DS laminators enhance the durability and security of your cards.
Compatibility: Compatible with Matica’s XID8100, XID8300, and XID8600 series.

How to Connect
Connecting the ILM-LS laminator to a card printer is very simple. The laminator has a sensor on its side, allowing it to detect the card printer without needing a wire.
To connect the ILM-LS laminator to the card printer, first, attach one side of the blue connector piece (found in the box) to the bottom of the laminator.
Then place the other side under the printer card so that the printer card will detect the laminator at a close distance.
If there is an issue with the laminator’s hologram, you will see a message named “Film-B Search”, indicating a problem with the top or bottom cassette.
If you receive a “Card Jam” message, rotate the blue roller of the cassette. For “Bottom Search” or “Top Search” messages, properly place the hologram roll and ensure it is straight.
If your hologram roll has a specific design, ensure the design falls between the marked sections of the cassette to align with the PVC card
If the card is stuck in the device, it will display the “Card Jam” message.

Instructions
To adjust the temperature settings, hold the middle button while pressing the right button on the card printer connected to the laminator to enter the menu. Press the “Next” key, select the laminator option, and press “Enter” (see picture two). .”
Similarly, select “User Mode.”
HR-T Temp: Adjusts the upper cassette temperature.
HR-B Temp: Adjusts the lower cassette temperature.
Depending on the film’s position in the laminator, choose the appropriate option (e.g., if the film is in the lower cassette).
Steps
-
Press the “Change” key and use the right button to adjust the desired temperature.
After making changes, press the middle button (Enter).
Finally, press “Exit.”
To set your card to “Patch” or “Overlay” mode in the ILM-LS laminator, hold the middle button while pressing the right button on the card printer connected to the laminator to enter the menu again.
Steps
Press the “Next” key, select the laminator option, and press “Enter.”
Similarly, select “User Mode.”
Film-T adjusts the upper film settings, and Film-B adjusts the lower film settings. Choose the appropriate option based on your film’s position (For example, our film is in the upper cassette).
Press the right button to change it to “Overlay.”
Finally, press the middle button to confirm changes.

Connection
To make changes, connect the laminator to your computer via the rear port.
- First, turn on the ILM-LS laminator using the power button located at the bottom of the device. The blue light will start blinking,
indicating that the device is detecting the hologram inside the cassette. Wait until the blue light becomes steady.
. Then, hold the button for 40 seconds. The red and blue lights will both turn on, indicating that the laminator is in manual mode.
Errors
A blinking red light alone indicates an error.

ILM-LS Laminator Maintenance Guide
To maximize the lifespan of the ILM-LS laminator, optimize the use of consumables such as holograms, and ensure the laminator maintains its quality, it is essential to follow certain maintenance guidelines.
Below are the steps necessary for proper maintenance of the laminator:
- Do not turn off the laminator during the lamination process.
- Cover the laminator after use.
- Avoid using dirty cards.
- For increased printer lifespan, have a full service performed by our technicians every 6 months to a year, depending on usage.
- Avoid impacting the laminator during transportation.
- Maintain a temperature of 15 to 30 degrees Celsius and humidity between 35% and 70%.
- When using the printer with the laminator, turn on the laminator first, then the printer.
- At the back of the device, there is a detachable plastic casing containing multi-layered sponge filters that clean the air entering the laminator. These should be periodically separated and cleaned. This plastic casing can be washed with water and a small amount of soap. Do not use heat to dry it. Instead, leave it in a clean, dust-free environment for a few hours to dry. Once dry, place the sponge back into the plastic casing and reattach it to the filter area.
- If a card gets stuck inside the laminator, there is a blue wrench that can be turned to remove the card.
- If a card is stuck and deformed (bent or warped due to excessive heat), do not attempt to remove it yourself. Instead, send the device to us immediately.
Please note, if the security seal from Sepehr Anformatic Derakhshan on the back of the card printer is broken for any reason, the device will no longer be covered under warranty.
